Please make sure your child is on time for class. We go over important safety rules and sewing machine details the first 15-20 minutes of class. Should your child miss any of the initial information, it may reflect on their comfortability level with their sewing machine during lessons as well as their progress.
This introduction to the sewing machine is a "crash course" on determining if your child feels comfortable with the idea of sewing. Before you (the parent) invest in sewing classes, let your child "practice" on cutting and sewing a simple project. We go over basic sewing safety rules in this initial class. Supplies and use of a sewing machine are included.

Bring a tee-shirt, hoodie, jeans, legging, blouse, shirt, skirt, or jacket. You will RE-DESIGN it into whatever you like.
Trims, laces, fabrics, paint, jewels, buttons, and ribbons will be provided.
Bring in your machine, and I will help you thread it and get it operating. This lesson is designed to give detailed information about your sewing machine, from set up, to take down and everything in between. After this session you and your machine will be BFF'S. :)
